TIRUVALLA: Niranam Diocese of the Jacobite Syrian Church accorded a warm reception to the newly consecrated bishop Mor Polycarpus Zacharias, Malankara Malpan Dr. Curien Kaniyamparampil Arch Corepiscopa and Commader K. C. George Kakkanattu and Commander Abraham P George Poothiyottu Chathanthara. The felicitation meeting was held at St. Mary's Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church, Mazhuvangadu. The meeting was presided over by Dr. Mor Coorilos Geevarghese, the diocesan metropolitan and Mor Gregorios Kuriakose inaugurated the meeting. Mor Barnabas Geevarghese delivered the speech of benediction. Smt. Linda Thomas, chairperson of Tiruvalla Municipality, Sri. Mathew Chacko, Vice Chairman, Smt. Delsy Sam, ward counselor offered felicitations. Mementos, ponnada and mangalapathram were presented by Dr. Coorilos. The meeting was attended by hundreds of faithful. Fr. Mathew Philip, diocesan secretary welcomed the gathering and Fr. George Jacob proposed vote of thanks.
