POOTHAMKUTTY/ANGAMALY: The dedication ceremony of the renovated St. Mary’s Jacobite Syrian Christian Church has been held on Sunday, the 25th November, 2012. The Feast of Mor Sabore and Afroth, Holy Saints of the Church has also held in conjunction with the dedication ceremony. Hundreds attended the programme with fervour and piety. The Holy Altar of the church has been modified according to the elegant and ancient Syrian Christian church tradition. The western wall of the church is being decorated with a fresco of the Last Supper of the Jesus Christ which is estimated as one among the gigantic mural paintings in Malankara. Inside of the Church is mutated in tune with the post modern outlook. Arrangements are afoot to celebrate the 30th anniversary of establishment with a horde of colourful programmes.
Rev. Fr. Alias Ipe Parackal is the present Vicar of the Parish and the brawny source of inspiration behind the success story. Mr.P.T. Paulose, M.M.Tensing the trustees of the parish along with the members of the spiritual organizations are closely associated with all the activities put forward by the Vicar and Managing Committee.
