SHRI. KURIAKOSE PUTHENPURACKAL (42) OF MAMALASSERY WHO WAS UNDERGOING TREATMENT PASSED AWAY ; IO CHURCH KAKSHI FOUL PLAY SUSPECTED IN HIS ACCIDENT AND DEATH.
Shri. Kuriakose Puthenpurackal, a member of Mor Michael Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church Mamalassery, who was undergoing treatment in Kolenchery passed away this morning. The circumstances under which he was found lying injured and unconscious near a IO church managing committee members house Sunday evening has evoked strong suspicions about IO church hands in his death.
Last Sunday evening, Shri. Kuriakose, who participated in the bike rally conducted by Jacobites was returning home after the public meeting led by Catholicose Aboon Mor Basalious Thomas I. This bike rally was attacked by IO church goons in Pambakuda. Later he was found lying injured and unconscious near a IO church managing committee members house. He was rushed to the hospital with severe head injury but was later found that he had internal injuries also. He never came out of coma and succumbed to his injuries this morning.
The circumstances and nature of injuries throw strong suspicion towards foul play.
