CWME Pre-Assembly Mission Event Continues in Manila

Manila: The Pre-Assembly Mission Conference of the Commission on World Mission and Evangelism of WCC has begun at Traders Hotel in Manila, the Philippines. Dr. Olaf Tveit, the General Secretray of WCC delivered the opening address and Dr. Roderick Hewitt gave the Key Note Speech. Mor Coorilos Geevarghese, the Moderator of CWME presented Moderator's Address and welcomed the gathering. About 250 international delegates are participating in the Conference which is discussing the new Mission and Evangelism Statement of CWME. Mor Eusthathios Matta Rohum, Member of the WCC central committee represents the Syrian Orthodox Church at the Confrence.
