REV.FR.MATHEWS THOMAS EDATHARA elevated to Corepiscopos in USA

Georgia: Rev.Fr.Mathews Thomas Edathara, the Clergy Secretary,Council member of the Malankara Archdiocese in USA and the founding Vicar of St.Mary's Syrian Orthodox Church in Augusta, Georgia in USA was elevated to the rank of Corepiscopos by the Special Kalpana from His Holiness Patriarch at a solemn occasion held at his home parish on Saturday October 22nd 2011.  H.E.Mor Titus Yeldho Metropolitan , the Archbishop and Patriarchal Vicar of Malankara Archdiocese was the Chief Celebrant to the solemn Ceremony.  His Eminence was assisted by V.Rev.Kuriakose Moolayil Corepiscopos, V.Rev.Joseph.C.Joseph Corepiscopos, V.Rev.Geevarghese Thomas Chattathil Corepiscopos,Rev.Fr.Mathews Kavumkal, Rev.Fr.Bijo Mathews, Dn.Martin Babu, Dn.Mathew Chacko, Dn.Subin Shaji, Dn.Shawn Shaji, and Dn. Abraham Wilson. Malankara Archdiocesan Council members , faithfuls and friends from various regions also attended.The parish choir lead by Mr.Jacob Abraham(Benny) and Ms.Amitta Joshua  sang melodious liturgical songs during the Holy Service.

          The public meeting held at  Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Auditorium was presided by Archbishop Mor Titus Yeldho Metropolitan in which  newly elevated Corepiscopo was praised and congratulated by community leaders and representatives of various organizations of Archdiocese and parish .Moolayil Kuriakose Corepiscopos(Theeram Charity Organization), Chattathil Geevarghese Thomas Corepiscopos, Joseph.C.Joseph Corepiscopos, Rev.Fr.Mathews Kavumkal(Archdiocesan Council Member)Rev.Fr.Bijo Mathews(Vice President, MGSOSA), Dn.Martin Babu,Mr.Saju Paulose CPA( Archdiocesan Treasurer), Dr.Vargheese George(President, Malayali Association of Augusta),Dr.E.C.Abraham Edathara(Edathara Family Representative), Dr.Mary Thomas(St.Marys Womens League),Ms.Mini Joshua(Sunday School)and Ms.Janet Thomas spoke at the occasion .Kumari Achu Thomas, the grand daughter of Corepiscopo and many sunday school childrens participated in various cultural programs.

 Mr.P.C.Abraham(Treasurer) was the master of ceremony at the occasion.Representing the parish, Chevaliar. Abraham Manimaleth presented a special gift to Edathara Mathews Corepiscopos. Archdiocesan council also presented a momento at the occasion.Council members Mr. Shaji Peter, Mr.Shomy Mathew, Mr.Saju Paulose Maroth.Mr.Gijo Joseph and Mr. Jose Palakkathodom   presented. Mr.Thomas Joshua(Board of Trustee member) welcomed the gathering and Mr.John Manaloor(Secretary) moved on to the vote of thanks.Corepiscopo registered his thanks to His Eminence, Clergy and faithfuls on their presence to this joyous occasion.
